Shivani’s Story: Rising Through Education

Shivani is a determined 17-year-old who has been connected with a Salaam Baalak Trust contact point in Raghubir Nagar for the past three years. Coming from a family facing financial hardship, she has received consistent educational support that has enabled her to continue pursuing her dreams.

She is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program at Delhi University and lives in the Raghubir Nagar slum area of Rajouri Garden with her parents and two siblings.

Beyond academics, Shivani actively participates in the City Walk Programme with Salaam Baalak Trust, where she has gained confidence, life skills, and real-world exposure. Her aspiration is to become a bank manager, so she can provide stability and support for her family.

Shivani firmly believes that with focus, perseverance, and continued support, she can complete her education and move steadily toward a brighter, more secure future.
