What is an Ambassador?

A Youth Ambassador is a highly driven, motivated student passionate about making a positive impact on the world. They are a representation of who Sparkle and Rise is, raising awareness and funds to support underprivileged children globally.

Why become an Ambassador?

Becoming a Youth Ambassador gives you the opportunity to break down educational barriers by exploring the social, economic, and political challenges that prevent children from accessing education worldwide. With the guidance of a mentor, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of these global issues, while learning how to use your voice to raise awareness and make a tangible impact. This program equips you with the skills needed to stand up and create change in your community and beyond, empowering you to become a leader, advocate, and changemaker. By joining, you’re not just raising funds—you’re becoming part of a movement to equip future generations with the tools they need to make a difference and create positive change around the world.

Program and Time Commitment

Ambassadors accepted into the program will be paired with a mentor and a team of fellow ambassadors in their local area. They are expected to meet with their mentor and team at least four times throughout the program. In addition, the entire ambassador group will participate in one educational meetup, where they’ll have the opportunity to explore and discuss a specific barrier to education impacting a community.

Ambassadors are required to raise at least $1,200 or host one large fundraising event during their one-year term, or alternatively, organize three smaller fundraising events within the same period. Ambassadors have the flexibility to collaborate with teammates or choose fundraising initiatives that fit their schedule and availability. And don’t worry—your mentor will be there to guide you through the entire process, from start to finish.

What You will Receive at the End of Your Term

Upon successfully completing your one-year term, you will have the opportunity to choose which project you’d like your funds to support: Developing Schools, Educating the Underserved, or Scholarships and Vocational Degrees.

You will receive an individualized impact report that includes your total volunteer hours, the project you selected to fund, and a testimonial reflecting how the project not only influenced your perspective and leadership skills but also the impact it had on the community.
